The Rt Hon Lord Willetts FRS, HonFREng was appointed Chair of the UK Space Agency in April 2022. Lord Willetts served as Minister for Universities and Science (2010-2014). He served as a Member of the ESA Expert Group on the Future of Space in Europe.

Jean-Jacques Dordain (born 14 April 1946) was Director General of the European Space Agency between 2003 and 2015. In 1998 he was Executive Secretary at the Japanese Space Agency (then NASDA, now JAXA) and later started as Director of Launchers at ESA, where he became Director General in July 2003.

With over 20 years of experience in networking, spectrum management, and satellite regulations, Mr Timothy Adi Ashong has proven his dedication to the advancement of Africa’s telecom sector.

Jaime has spent 20 years in the space industry as a systems engineer and project manager working on some of the most complex ground, satellite and software systems for clients including the European Space Agency and NASA. Jaime has a Doctorate in Atmospheric, Oceanic and Planetary Physics and is a Chartered Engineer.

Dr. Eleni Patouni is currently the moderator of the European Defence Agency (EDA) Capability Technology Working Group Space. She joined EDA in 2020 and she led the reorganisation of the agency’s R&T activities for space defence.

Roy has more than 30 years working across Space, Defence and Intelligence sectors in the UK, US and Europe for CGI. Additionally, Roy is vice-chairman of the UK Satellite Telecom Committee. Roy works with many of the world's most important and innovative space organisations to help them thrive in today's hyper-competitive space and business ecosystems.

Alex Sinclair is the Chief Technology Officer for the GSMA. He has held this position since 2005, having joined the organisation in 2003. In this role, Alex is responsible for driving the technology direction of the GSMA and working with its membership to execute key technology initiatives.

Henny is Head of Telecomms at the UK Space Agency where he is responsible for delivering the UK’s satellite and lunar comms programmes. Since 2018 he has played a pivotal role in delivering over a hundred innovation programmes and activities, covering areas from low-cost user terminals to developing end to end infrastructures in new and emerging satellite markets.

Kevin joined ETL Systems in 2023 as Chief Executive Officer. He has over 20 years’ experience in RF Systems within Satellite and Defence communications markets.

John Yates has 35 years’ experience in the commercial satellite communications sector.John co-founded Atheras Analytics with Dr. Spiros Ventouras in 2020.

Michele Di Paolo is currently the Director of Business Development and PLM at SpaceBridge Inc. He previously held a role as the VP of Mobile Network Operator Business Development at Comtech EF Data. With a background in satellite sales and marketing, Michele has experience in product management and business development within the telecommunications industry.

Professor Aniko Ekárt is Professor in Computer Science at Aston University, specialising in Artificial Intelligence. Anikó is Director of the Aston Centre for Artificial Intelligence Research and Application (ACAIRA).

Under Isabelle’s leadership, GSOA and its member CEOs lead the effort to showcase the benefits of satellite communications for a more inclusive and secure society – vital to bridging the world’s digital divide, achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and realizing the 5G ecosystem.

Antonio Franchi works at the European Space Agency as the Head of the 5G/6G NTN Programme Office in the Connectivity and Secure Communications Directorate. Antonio has over 30 years of experience in the satellite telecommunications industry.

Randall Barney is the Director of the Certification and Membership programs for the World Teleport Association. Responsible for membership management and services, he is the project manager for WTA’s continuing program of research as well as the Teleport Certification program.

Elisabeth Tweedie’s entire career has been focused on commercial satellites, telecommunications and broadcasting, specifically in the highly specialized area of evaluating the long term potential for new ventures, initiating their development and finding and developing appropriate alliances.

Phil Beecher is President and CEO of Wi-SUN Alliance, an industry organisation that seeks to accelerate the implementation of smart cities, smart utilities, smart grids and other large-scale outdoor Internet of Things (IoT) applications by enabling the global adoption of interoperable solutions based on open standards.

Alexis Martin has been supporting regulations, policy and spectrum matters across the satellite industry since the early 2000s when he started as a spectrum engineer with Airbus (formerly known as Astrium).
Since then, Alexis has held key positions across the satellite industry supporting regulations, strategy, market intelligence the likes of Airbus, Avanti and SES.

With over 30 years industry experience Craig plays a valuable role in driving and executing the Broadband Forum’s strategy. He leads the growth and development of the Broadband Forum, ensuring it is capable of delivering on its long-term vision.

Matthew is an experienced director with a 30-year track record working in the marine industry. A graduate naval architect by vocation and training, Matthew has a strong technical and design background with significant manufacturing and commercial experience, including project management and new business development.

Ian is the entrepreneur founder of Goonhilly Earth Station. They have recently helped three different organisations land missions on the Moon. Ian has recently established a new consultancy (Ibbynet Ltd) looking at the future of space ground segment and space communications. Ian has received an OBE for services to Space Communications.

Currently, Andreas is heading standardization activities in the IoT area for Deutsche Telekom group (DTAG). In this role he ensures that appropriate standards for IoT are being developed, selected, and introduced within DTAG.
